The Angel With A Sad Face

She’s hiding her face from me to avoid the embarrassment of being seen with mortal eyes. I know that I am not worthy. “Is it because I come from a world filled with lies?” I can hear her crying in my dreams, unseen, but I can feel her presence. She doesn’t seem to be interested in me, but only in delivering a message.
I know that I have yet to grow to evolve into something better. She said that my ignorance is keeping her down; she wants to go, but I won’t let her. She is a prisoner in my mind, but not forcefully. Deep down in her soul, I think she knows that’s where she’s supposed to be.
I said, “Why are you so sad when you have a child of this world that’s willing to learn?” She said, “You have knowledge all around you, yet you show no concern. Your Kind, chooses violence and corruption. You glorify greed in an attempt to find the easy way out. You have no idea what true living is all about. I want to take you to a place beyond time, so that you could understand. But I have to remind myself that you are just a man. Maybe one day, you will mature enough to finally be free. And when that day comes, then reach out to me.”
